Privacy & security
Trust through transparency.
What we can show today, in plain words. Including what we cannot promise.
- Privacy by design
- Conversations are built to stay in the working memory of the active session. The app keeps no conversation history.
- Secure communication
- The app talks to the VoxAnima server over HTTPS/TLS only. This is transport encryption: the server must process your words to answer.
- Protected accounts
- Passwords are stored as salted scrypt hashes. Tokens sit in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore. Access tokens expire after 15 minutes, and refresh tokens rotate on every use.
- Conversation handling
- Text and audio are processed per request. Our database has no tables for conversations. Temporary audio files on the phone are deleted after use. What we do store: account details and usage counts.
- AI transparency
- VoxAnima is an AI and never poses as a human friend, relative, therapist or priest.
- Responsible AI
- VoxAnima gives no diagnoses and no treatment. Conversations stay blocked as long as the safety check is not configured. In an emergency, call your local emergency services.
- Your control
- End a session and its content is cleared. Delete your account in the app settings, and your account data is permanently deleted.
- Third-party providers
- The app server runs on Railway. AI and speech providers are not connected yet. Before launch we will name them here, along with what they process.
